Hi! some of you might remember my TrAmp for windows, if you dont TrAmp is a music addon(in some form) for Tremulous, enabling you to control, and display your music from within Tremulous. I have recently started work on TrAmp for Linux, of course this is client side, so im releasing the patch and client with built in XMMS control. If you do not know what XMMS is, or even Linux this isnt a topic for you lol, but for the ones that use Linux, and also use XMMS please check this out :)

SVN: 755

Included patches:

tjw's backport patch -- http://trem.tjw.org/backport/tremulous-svn755.patch

Benmachines's black to gray text patch -- http://mercenariesguild.net/patches/?do=details&task_id=76

Added Cvars:

t_txtsent - the text that will be sent before the song title when t_displaysong is called(ex. /t_txtsent "Im listening to" will output "Im listening to Deftones - Elite" into the chat)

Added Commands:

t_displaysong - displays what your currently listening to while including t_txtsent

t_nextsong - changes to the next song on the playlist

t_prevsong - changes to the previous song on the playlist

t_pausesong - pauses the current song playing

t_playsong - unpauses the current song paused

t_stopsong - stops the current song from playing at all

Downloads:

Notes:

I know the makefile is a little hacked up but it works :(

This is nice. Your patch includes a lot of unrelated changes though. Please make one against the latest SVN instead!

Thanks, but it is just a little client mod, so i didnt go to much into modding.

Edit:

i tryed using the latest and its all buggy, i cant even click on *Play* or *Mods*

You probably have to apply the patch manually.

I dont think so, the latest SVN seemed to be backported

Odin

Get the SVN, 1044 seems to be the highest version the current backport patch can apply to.
Get backport1043M.patch from here.
Apply the patch.
Now, apply your patch code manually, not with the patch utility.

You don't really need to patch trem at all to display what song you're playing, just if you want the ingame commands to control the media player. I use hotkeys to change songs anyways so that's not a problem.
