A good team orientated server
« on: December 26, 2007, 05:33:48 pm »
Hello Guys,
Some of you may recognise me from Funzone or T Base, some of you may not. But here is a little background info I first downloaded Tremulous in 2005 and played it weekly up to easter this year (2007) However I was put off playing because of the steady decline of the servers which I played on (mainly funzone) there was still the amount of players but gradually there was less and less teamwork until a good 80 percent of the server was made up of griefers, whiners and deconners. I am, now after finaly making an account! asking that you take pity on me and fill me in on some 1337 servers.

Thank You in advance

wow people's standards have seriously dropped since i last played...
pt2/pt3 are decent if you're in the continental US (pt1 attracts too many noobs with its size), i think wraths might be the last remaining "good" european server, but since i ping 150+ to them and most europeans seem to hate unlagged with a passion (even though some of them ran et servers with g_antilag 1 (which was written by bani, based on the same code that trem's backward reconcilliation is based on)), i can't comment on the quality of european servers.

Ok let's plan it out. Asva, you are nub, go sit on rets, I will build, you two go feed like hell, you go pwn their asses, and everyone else camp in the hallway, roger?

For America, I prefer Fragify, you just have a good quality of players there, and it's not affiliated with any clan.

there was less and less teamwork

Oh dear, I forgot about that "social skills" topic I started, I am going to read it right now. Seems that I am not the only one who is pissed by all of them lone fighters not getting the point(s) of a team game.
I have retired from Tremulous. Definetely. If you play a game just because it has become a habit, but u'r only feeling like a kindergarten teacher - well, maybe I am just getting too old (hell, I was a teenager when DukeNukem3D was *new*) - it's probably not a bad idea to just let it be. And I do.

Don't take this personally. Have fun, guys.
