Alright, I'm gonna get this over with. NT is actually taking more of a "nap." We've run into a lot of bad luck with events popping up. Then again, NT hasn't been a lucky clan to begin with. Ran into 5 botting clans in scrims I believe. Plus Zilla has popped up a bunch, and Smokey has gotta be the biggest pain in the ass for NT besides the botters. Still, it was my fault NT died the first time. I should have seen that the desire for a new name from a couple other members after Zilla's first revival would lead to no good. I should have been more wise and direct in my decision there.

That's not the point though. The current events, right now, are what are causing this. I had to move, and my computer just happened to break, and the company just decided to go bullshit about their policies, and it's still going to be like another month before we get the replacement. During all this downtime, Smokey pops in and revives Zilla for real, without me knowing until it's too late, because our internet wasn't activated...

Drac,

I'm sorry you had to come to this conclusion.  I feel bad being one of the clan killers.  I was hoping you would post "We're going to try!" because it's not like you to just drop this clan, especially after 5-6 full months of progress.  I know it meant a lot to you, and it meant a lot to me as well.  I loved NT.  But I kinda loved Zilla even more, because there was always that sense of "Whoa." about Zilla.  Not that NT didn't have that, but Zilla was the first true "Whoa." I had.

=\ I know it'll be back.  I don't doubt it at all.  You're that type of guy with the passion it takes to start a clan from scratch.  You did it with this NT, when you only had You, Dance, and Thrash, and it's almost sad to see you kill NT when you drop to a "meager" 10 players.  Remember, you have skills abound in NT, if you do decide to change your mind, and NT's life doesn't have to be over.

Ok, continuing from the first post...

I only came back a few days ago, when our internet was activated again. I've been using my PS3 to get the news on what's going on in Trem. Anyhow, I was shocked to learn I was two days late in coming back partially, that Zilla had come back and attracted what has ended up being 3 of our members. Also, Ozzy left and that hurt us as well, but I can't really dish out blame to anyone. It's just terrible luck really. Smokey can't be blamed for wanting to revive Zilla so badly. Afterall, Zilla kicks ass, it's true. Zilla, along with my leadership of Zirra, inspired me to make a clan that was like Zilla in terms of being competitive.

Maybe we would have kept our members had my computer not busted. I don't know for sure. But once again, no blame, because of course many members would go inactive and get bored of NT without me around. A similar event killed the first Zilla, Smokey can tell you that.

I'm going to close by just repeating that this is NOT the end of NT entirely...

It's not the end by far. But for now, I have no choice. What am I going to do with a Tremulous clan when I don't have access to Tremulous? I'm not going to make my members sit and wait, they've grown impatient. I'll be back to Trem in the future, once again, probably in a month or so. And even then, I'm going to wait for another opening. The Tremulous community changes. There will be another time where NT can come back on the stage. I'm not ending it for good just because of some DAMNUBSHIT luck. We kicked ass, maybe not the best and most skilled clan, but we held our own. And I feel that we were well-liked by most of the community that knew us. And I've been told that I can lead well.

So long as these things stay constant, and so long as I'm a Trem player, NT will always have it's place in Tremulous, awake or resting.

Thanks to everyone who was in NT, Lt, or even likes us (save for thirdstreet :( ). It all counted, and it's keeping the name, and my will to make it shine, alive.

I have a feeling this will be the future of Tremulous. Zilla starts to be the best then dies :'(. Then Dracone bring's back NT. Then Dracone's computer dies again  :'(. So Smokey brings back Zilla. And so on....

This is the second time my computer has been broken during "important" times in Tremulous too. So with this luck, it's not unlikely for such an event to happen again. But I'm definitely gonna catch the good opening for to bring back NT. It might take some time though. Hopefully Zilla DOESN'T die either. There was never a real chance to have Zilla and NT around at the same time. I want that. Bad.

Dracone, Truly sorry about all of this, nothing against you  at all. You know I've got love for you. I hope you'll start NT right back up when you return, because you're not a quitter. Thats what I like about you. I picked you up when you were a nobody and watched you turn into something, And I by no means meant to kill your clan. Even though you'd never accept, I'd still like to extend an offer for you to join Zilla, where you really belong :)


Plus, we need someone to have all the Zirra kids look up to :)

Ahhhhhh, I would love to start NT right back up when I get back. But I'll most likely go solo for a while because I need it for a bit, competitive as I am in terms of scrims. Also, I'm not sure how many free people will even be around that I would let rally to NT when I bring it back. I'm sure there'll be a couple people floating around to pick up but I don't know. You might pick up most of 'em.

And tell the Zirralings of me. It will motivate them to know of the first leader of Zirra. :D Maybe.........

Smokey did. I had recruited him into Zirra. When he started coming on TS, I realized it was bad. Our regular conversation on TS:

Jet: Hey Dracone.....
Me: What?
Jet: Nothing.
Jet: Hey Dracone.
Me: What?
Jet: Nothing again, I'm just annoying you.

Ask anyone around TS often at the time, that was what it was like. Such annoyances as that led me to pretty much request his removal after Smokey promoted him to Zilla. Also, he never would scrim in Zirra when I asked him to. Just always a lame excuse like, "I suck today."

Anyhow...Zirra was like Zilla Junior. Smokey put me in charge and I recruited people who wanted to be in Zilla and trained them through scrims and stuff. It was basically like a seperate clan that pushed members up to Zilla. It was fun, but Smokey started recruiting lots of people for Zilla and stuff so yeah... :/

That's where the quotation marks around the Dead come in. By all the usual characteristics of a dead clan, NT is dead. No members or anything. But the likelihood of it coming back is pretty much definite, so I couldn't just call it totally dead. It already looks like a few people are anticipating its return so the thread name will remain. :)
