I would like to please request that tremulous.net/files includes a more updated package/client (tjw?) that would allow users to download faster, have guids and such.
It would be a simple tremulous_tjw.zip (universal - mac/win/linux) with tjw built in on it (instead of stock client), Also having all the settings ready (cl_allowdownload 1, cl_wwwdownload 1, etc)
That way new players (not only unfamiliar to the game, but also computer newbies) will have a better experience on tremulous.
I have noticed that a LOT of players do not know how to change clients or have given up halfway there.
For example when a non-stock map loads, server populations drop (sometimes drastically). Players have to find new servers to to to, and/or even close client to play later.
Having it hosted in tremulous.net will give it more trust and also make it easier to find.
If it were to come true, could a proper description be given for it? (benefits and such)
Please consider this.
