What do you think of people who use internet terms in real life?

What I mean is that they include words like "WTF", "LOL" , "OMG", "FU".

What I mean is that they literally use initials not "What the fuck" or "Laughing out Loud", just plain "WTF" or "LOL".

There are like these guys that come on you and tell you "FU XXXXX" (where XXXXX is your name), or someone makes a joke and they say "LOL" instead of "hahahahahahahahahahhahahahah"

I really get annoyed, its like those people don't have a life.

Hell, I use lol sometimes, even though I'm trying not to. It's addicting, once you start using it, you can't stop
Maybe it's because I'm dutch and already used to using the word 'lol', since it means something along the lines of 'fun'.

Eh, I use that kind of language with my close friends, but I speak and laugh normally with everyone else. I also shout out ROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! after hearing insanely bad jokes.

It does annoy me when people do this. I haven't heard it that much but it does get annoying. Not that I'm mad at the person who said it, nor do I think they have no life, it is just frankly very irritating to hear some one say lol!!

How to stop someone from saying "LOL":

1) Stare blankly at them for five seconds, or until they start explaining what "LOL" means.
2) Then act like you get it, and roar with (real) laughter in their face, for at least 30 seconds, or more if you feel like it.

I knew a guy who used "lol" (like "this is very lol", "you are a lol", etc...), and he REALLY had sociologic problems. He totally escaped from his boring life. For some reason he used "hoodlum" also, but i doN't think he knew what it meant. He was also prosecuted to police as he made a fake account of a girl on some myspace-like stuff, with valid phone number and address... so watch out kids.

but i don't think knowing people trough internet is something instantly wrong and makes you a lol-o-scope. you just have to be smart a bit to decide if you want to meet them in real life.

by the way when we had the clan meeting, it was already strange enough that 5 half-drunk guys in a pub are yelling about chaingunning tyrants(<----Tycho) and other in-game stories :-D

i find that lol is annoying when spoken.

but in some cases i use wtf, like if me mum is around(she hits me if i swear near her.)
