« on: January 23, 2008, 06:50:53 pm »
This is c:/^tyrantmaster and i need help with patches. i was about to
download google's patches (with that one other dude) and idk where to put em

can i use patches if i am using the 1.1 default "Create A Server".

people can connect and i can run commands from the blue console
"like set g_speed 300 or set g_humanstage 2" adn stuff like that.

but there is no admin commands like !help, !admintest, no anything

P.S. Help me im making a "C:/ Clan Test Server" (thats wat its called) server

us (the c:/ clan members) like me, nightmare, trk, and destiney told me to
make commands and stuff, and i guess i needed to just
download a patch/mod already made.

im not a nerd just a regular guy who loves games and owns at trem <<!

please help me as a c:/clan member!

Go C:/!!!!!!!!!!

You probably don't want the patches themselves, as that means you need to apply the patches to the source code and compile a new QVM.  Instead, see if you can get the QVM that they use (probably offered on the same page as the patches, I haven't looked) and use that instead.

That'd be a standard release QVM, which doesn't have TJW's admin commands (all the !commands).

Using the QVM is easier than patching the source and recompiling, but not as easy as just clicking "Create a server" in the client.  Search around this forum, you'll find plenty of information on how to install QVMs and setup a server running one, as well as creating admin commands and such.
