need help with the video

Hello im having trouble with the video i already read the manual ...
1.where do i change the resolution of the game
2.i have an ati x300 and installed the drivers that are on the add/remove section menu
3.my screen resolution is 1280*768
when i run the game its unplayable i cant see any letters and the graphics are like  :'(

1. You can change the resolution in the Options menu. Unfortunately the options menu is only available while in-game. open the console and type "devmap atcs" (without quotes). When the game loads, hit esc and select options. One of the menus in there will let you set the resolution.

2. Have you downloaded the latest drivers from ATI? I think the drivers are here.

3. See #2. Also, the graphics for Tremulous aren't particularly good (not bad, but not great), so don't expect too much from them.

the options menu doesn't know about non-4:3 resolutions iirc. you'll have to change the resolution by opening the console (press ~) and typing:

/r_customwidth 1280
/r_customheight 768
/r_mode -1
/vid_restart
