Adv Drenches for fun:

 - 3 alien proximity mines "fungus spheres".
 - shot a healer baba, that health your mates, slowdown enemies.
 - can burn with fire, but running can stop burning, but burning do 4x damage to buildings, 4x damage to humans, and damage to itself
 - electric shot make drenches become "spheres", unable to move, but still alive, with a minor damage effect 1 point each electric shot

If you have adv drench, you need better humans:

 adv humans new weapons:
 - standard electric mele weapon, so humans can melee too :D
 - can use medkit on others (select medkit, move near teammate, press Q)
 - with medkit selected, can see others health
 - can trown his weapons
 - can get weapons from ground
 - weapon "health bar" is ammo

good ideas, teiman  8)

one more thing i'd like to see (i think i mentions it before, too lazy to look)

an ability for builders (human) to carry a rifle...
maybe with s3, when builders become so incredibly useful during sd?

Rifles won't save builders from Alien slashing attacks :D.
Besides, every Human member would just buy a rifle and a con. kit so they can hold on until timelimit hits :D.

What you're trying to say is that basilisks suck. Otherwise no one would consider advanced dretch which costs as much as basic basilisk.
f you have a demo of ass-kicking basilisk playing against experienced opponents, ESPECIALLY in later stages, send it to me.

Bad idea....

Dretches don't need an advanced form... they are quite good as they stand...

But seeing as you want ideas...

How about s3 dretchs are advanced dretches (liek grangers at s2 free evo and there is no more basic)
advanced dretches can
- hold on to posion better (like it last 1.5x longer than it does normaly)
- while they are in posion mode, they regen like they are near booster...

but honestly dretches are pretty good.
and s2 is the hardest stage for dretch
flamers and helmets or mass drivers...

which is my next two suggestions
advance dretch at s2 (and it costs one evo point)
they get
-flame resistence (1/2 damage)
-mass driver resistance (basicly if it were possible the mass driver does 24 damage against dretch, so if you are at full health you MIGHT be able to escape)

I like the flame idea more than mass driver resistance, but I do hate both of those deaths, esp because some people seem to be able to hit me while I am runnign with a massdriver...

I really like the stick idea...  what about if you could remain stuck for a duration of say 10 seconds, you could control the player's character?

thinking along the lines of either a mind control or infested terran (starcraft)

at the point of complete control, the other player would be able to respawn and the only way to lose control would be death.

This is somewhat like the spy class on quakeworld servers :D

i've played as alien alot more since my first two posts, here's some semi-practical ideas:

*75 health (maybe more?)
*possibly double jump... or just higher
*a simple slash as well as regular location damage... i hate it when you lunge for a head with mara or basi and get the timing wrong with the slash
*fire resistance... half damage?
*AUTO UPGRADE!! as soon as s2 (or 3), you can get it for free... that's the dealmaker!

For humans:
*Auto-upgrade to shotgun
*ability to buy a painsaw for 200, then hold it along with another gun (maybe only certain other guns?)

i dunno how uneven things would become...

'AUTO UPGRADE' sounds like a deal-breaker..  rather unorthodox.

My vote is just for 75hp (or some boost)
as a bonus, 75 hp awards you 3x fire resistance :)

My 'like to have' would be pounce or a 'ping'.  I like the idea of dretch being more flea like, and being able to leap across hallways and such.  Imagine a dretch running along the ground and 'ping' he's up on the ceiling.
 :D
ah, that wasn't a tyrant you killed, it was just a baby tyrant.

Let's make Dretches even more powerful - like they could spit out Tyrants as a ranged weapon...  :D

that's about like the quote someone has in their sig about a gun that shoots reactors  :D

still, the part i would care most about in this is the ability to get it for free... dretch is already a bit of a last resort with many people.

A fun alternate, is to stick on a human backpack, so this human will be unable to see the drench and turrets will ignore the drench. Then, if the drench disensable from backpack, will be "visible" again for turrets.

Thinks about it... HE BOB, YOU HAVE A ALIEN HERE! -- (bob) WTFF!!!??!

One suggest would be only a faster regeneration.

I wish there were another class that was able to shoot some kind of projectile.

It is beyond the granger's abilities, and the Adv Goon is expensive and isn't always the best choice for a particular map.

How about a cameleon effect. If you stop moving for a sec or two you blend with the enviroment?

This is something that would be really cool, but how hard to program would it be? I guess the easiest thing to do would be to make it so that its skin is the same as that of what it is walking on.
