Stroggs and Pagans.
« on: February 23, 2008, 11:46:15 pm »
I was reading the autogen.cfg and found lines saying
set team name: pagans
set team name: strogg.

Is this the name of the Aliens? Stroggs?

Stroggs are the aliens from the Quake series, I think.

Aye, these entries are probably leftovers from Q3A.

Tremulous uses the Quake 3 Arena source code. More specifically the Quake 3 Team Arena source code. In Q3TA, two of the main teams were Pagans and Stroggs. In this case, asking Carmak would be your best bet.

And yes, Stroggs are the Aliens from the Quake series.

derived from the Latin pagus, whence pagani (i.e. those who live in the country), a name given to the country folk who remained heathen after the cities had become Christian (from the web)

P.S. You don't know what Stroggs are? Burn the unbeliever!
