Please disable your map vote.  I dont like to play on AKKA to play a normal game of tremulous and find people spamming map votes to the 2-3 new BETA (NOT OFFICAL, as in they ARE NOT DONE) maps, just because the AKKA server has players.

There is a reason why they are beta, and why servers strictly are made for them.  If you dont get good pings on them, then too bad for you.  Dont be a BETA TESTER then of the map.

I like having the maps on [AKKA], however i do agree that people shoudn't vote spam any map, but map voting shouldn't be turned off just because of a few people.

the beta maps are not in the regular rotation they have to be voted to. Simply don't vote for them (ie intentional vote no as not voting only counts as half a no vote) and you won't play them. As for voting....there's more than enough reason to leave voting enabled. Too many griefers currently lurking in the shadows to realisticly turn voting off and not have the server require 24/7 admin watching.

I'm not saying take voting off, i'm just saying take MAP voting off if its a more "offical" server (liek AKKA).

The reason is mostly because people DO spam the votes, even when everone votes no.  Its really annoying, and what kills me is that the map rotator will automattically have us at that map soon enough.

It does get annoying when people spam votes on AKKA and I will take action against those who do.

Ex: 1 player continues to spam the same vote over and over again and it continues to fail

Ex2: 1 player does a vote that fails, then a 2nd player does a different map vote which fails and then a 3rd player does the same thing.

After the 2nd vote starts I will warn that no more votes are allowed after that map vote. If a 3rd vote starts I will abort and kick the 3rd player.
