OpenGL Problem...
« on: May 28, 2006, 09:45:40 pm »
Ok, so I took the advice from the other post here saying to download gldirect 5.0 and that worked fine except that after about 5 minutes it shut down the screen with a DEMO PROGRAM thing. So I downloaded the 3.0 version and got that working but it gives me the same OpenGL error as if I weren't running it. The computer I use right now is quite outdated to say the least. I'm running windoze xp professional... and would appreciate any help.

I have no idea about the subject, because I am linux user. But I dont think you need extra stuff other than your drivers from your card manufacturer. You card manufacturer will have a download somewhere with the nice installer, that will include the whateveropenglwhatever.dll file you need to have hardware accelerated opengl on your XP machine.

I've got the same problem, How do I update my drivers?

I've been poking around in Control Panel for a while but they only thing that reads as not working properly or needs update etc is something called Raid Controller, but windows cant update it and I dont have any CD for it.

Anyone suggest a step-by-step help to getting tremulous working? That stupid GLdirect thing shutdown my screen and I havent found a download of the full version

Go to the website of the graphics card manufacturer and download the latest drivers for your card.

eg if u have a nvidia card go here:

http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
