For thoses who dont know it Derelict is a server created to beta tests new maps
At the beginning the only map on it was Beyond Derelict Beta 1 and the download was really tiny. But now Derelict is hosting several maps with some big downloads. So its quite hard to autodownload them (because of the size of some maps) and its also hard to find the files in this forum if you dont know where to look for them.
That's why i m making this thread : Here are all the links to download the maps and the related threads to post your comments on them (Remember theses maps are in beta test so the creators wait your comments :wink:). I will try to update it as soon as a change is made on Derelict (Note : I m not a member of the [db@] team. I m a normal player that loves their server thats all :wink:).

I believe megabite just mentioned pulse will be taken out of the rotation untill some issues were fixed.

True,

Mr.H@nky and me just decided to take pulse_45 out of cycle after 2 testing rounds. Although looking promising controlled gameplay is not possible because of some major issues.
Soubok is already informed, issues are discussed in this topic: http://www.tremulous.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=759

You may still download the map, fire up a local server, wander around in it and put some constructive criticism in above mentioned post.
As Beta2 of souboks map is available, it will be uploaded and put into cycle, of course!

P.S.: Maybe someone would like to make this topic sticky as cl_allowdownload is not enabled by default and even being enabled not that fast...? ;)

Another little note:

The above blackheartware.com downloads are valid and will stay valid.
But I have also set up a small tremulous newspage where I will host such downloads in the future. The four maps are already mirrored there as well.

As a small note, Pulse beta02 has been released, but Megabite hasn't been on for some time, so he can't upload it to the Derelict server, and i don't think i have acces to do it either...

I've played the map wtih Soubok and Krisk on a private test server, but he can only have 4-5 players (including him) at a time on the server, if / when his server is online, i'll consider taking some people off the derelict server and give them instructions on how to get to the private server.
At the moment, this is the best solution to beta-test the map, and for players to play with eachother on the map (instead of playing it alone on a selfmade server) after this long time of waiting for the (public) release of Pulse beta02.
I hope Megabite uploads it soon, so we can beta-test the map even better :D  :wink:  :) .

Wow, congratulations! i'm really happy for you  :D .
Also, do i have the acces to upload the map to the server, or only Rcon admins? I am still not sure about that :) .

Again congratulations, i'll be keeping an eye on the Derelict server whilst you're gone  :) .

Pulse beta 2 is back in cycle, thanks to a workaround by soubok. Another new map on Derelict is powergrid_b25 by Llurk. Thanks to Lava_Croft and Mr.H@nky for working it out... ;)

I have reorganized the download section at http://tremulous.megavoid.de today. All map files are encased by a zip now, hopefully solving the problems some people had downloading the files.
The map-*.zip has just to be unzipped to the tremulous/base folder and everything should be fine.

Other good news is that confess has provided an US-based download mirror for the maps at MTI. Downloads on it are listed as "Mirror 3 (US)" in the download section.

Another note here about ingame voice communication:

db@ has opened its Teamspeak-Server ( http://www.goteamspeak.com ) to the public. There are channels for humans and aliens for every db@ Tremulous server. Survivor, DarkWolf, the db@ crew and a few others show up regularly, so there shoud be someone to talk to... ;)

Feel free to jump in and voicecommunicate while gaming, or just chat away in the Lobby! All you need is the Teamspeak Client and a microphone / headset.

im having problems downloading the maps


im using firefox and when the download pop-up appears, i get the options of


open with compressed folder

or

save to disk




but wont let me do either. any ideas?

What version of firefox are you running? And on what system?

I'm using firefox 1.5.0.4 on linux ubuntu and I don't have any problem.

Let's see if we can fix it :)

The former #db@ Derelict server is now running as tremulous.info Derelict (T)!

Two other #db@ servers have been converted to be tremulous.info servers as well, the whole story can be read here!

All are FF on now, there is no option for "building FF" as far as I know.
