QuoteMyth: Girls don’t play violent video games like Grand Theft Auto.

Fact: Our survey of more than 1200 middle school students found that 29 percent of girls who played video games listed at least one M-rated game among the games they’d "played a lot" during the previous six months. One in five specifically listed a Grand Theft Auto game. In fact, among these 12- to 14-year-old girls, the Grand Theft Auto series was second only to The Sims in popularity.

so very soon a new era is going to born in the history of school massacres. shotguns with boobz. something that worth to be killed by.

Topics like these show me that hardly anyone of you might have seen a woman from her downside up for real yet. So much for that.
I have retired from Tremulous. Definetely. If you play a game just because it has become a habit, but u'r only feeling like a kindergarten teacher - well, maybe I am just getting too old (hell, I was a teenager when DukeNukem3D was *new*) - it's probably not a bad idea to just let it be. And I do.

Don't take this personally. Have fun, guys.

You need a topic like this to figure that out?

I'm sure the OP will appreciate your unique "perspective" as regards her gender. So much for you.

I've seen nice girls from below IRL and I can tell that most of them was beautiful from that point of view as well... ::) Or maybe I'm just exposing myself as a pervert here? :o ;D

@ Lava's link: my GF plays Crysis and COD4 on my pc also she liked UT and CS... the most non-violent games she plays are Stronghold and the Civilization series.. I think that it is a stereotype that girls don't like 'violent' games... (but I admit she was freaked out by Manhunt and never even watched me playing it... she said that it is frigtening even if she just watched ::) ) - Also when I was in high school, there were even girls coming to play CS on lan with the boys... Or maybe I was just lucky to meet the odd female gamers and statistically they are the rarer type? ::) 8)

I remember some particular cases when after recovering from a massive drunken blackout, the first I've seen from a girl was "the below". That sight intsantly gives your consciousness back. Then you can take a deep breath and collect your bravery to encounter with the upper body. Results may vary. <.<

Thank God (or not? :P) my conciusness never managed to get acquainted to a girl starting from below...

don't feel sorry for that, it's a somewhat risky business ;-)

Nope. But that thread illustrates this so boldly that I just had to state this.

Why should anyone tell private things in public? Also, what does it say about a guy who has a pretty girl on his side? That he is superficial and also attracts superficial people? Or not? And if or if not, why? ...it doesn't matter.

All in all, personally I wouldn't care about such a topic.

I've mostly not been paying attention since Zybork first posted. I could tell that the thread was only heading downhill from there.

smited due to off topic idiocracy! i find this topic strange

I perfectly agree with that. It's like a bunch of (male) teenies screaming, "Uh, there are girls on the internet, uh!" Oh boys... grow up. Just grow up. Or get a life. Or both.

The thing is: It simply does not matter if there are "girls" here or not, for virtual life does not count as such. If you think otherwise, go hug an ethernet link.

Why did anyone think a woman would be offended by what I wrote? (Did you never hear a woman tell the other that she is just moody because she misses some "stuffing" or things like that?) It's not against women, it's against nerdboys, so, what?

Absolutely. Why else do you think do people not need any life anymore the moment they get lost in the infinity of virtual space?  ;)

Don't worry, "Atom Eve", I just find this childish. Very childish.
