adv. dragoons in lvl2?!

Hi!

Played alot of Tremulous about two years ago, and started again just now...
Been noticing that some people are using the class adv. dragoons while on lvl2.
According to the manual they're only available on lvl 3.
And the class is not available to me on lvl2 (while on the same server as the people who are using the class). No matter how many points I have.
Is there som way of getting that class available on lvl2 or is those people cheating?!

You have to use the console and type in /class level3upg.

dev's thought about moving adv.goon to lvl2 in trem 1.2... on some server's it is put to the test, however you need the evolve commands to get to it since the evolve menu is not updated - so there is no cheating there, if the server has that test rule, use it as Hammy said how to use it

any servers running the mgdev code will have +goon in the menu at s2 (even tjw's code had it forever, this was the original reason for enforcing the cgame download that killed what was left of his playerbase)

they were probly using override if it wasnt dev.
