+ME+'s gamer comic needs assist (dialup nuke)

I've already sent some personal messages about my concept to some of the forum members. I'm also going to do further requests to others and to theese people also, and I'd like to update this topic as I'm reaching further levels in develpoement.
this community is my closest connection for sharing toughts about computer gaming, that's why i'm asking your help. iT's also very independent and it's in incognito, so it's a very good way to get independent toughts what i can integrate into my serious projec.
my concept is about showing a very raw and explicit side of computer gaming to the public by the way (not btw) of an interactive comic, wich is going to be the most important work of mine so far in my life.

so.. i'll EDIT and EDIT and EDIT, and i really need your help. I'll insert my sketches and links here as soon as i'll have them.

From what I understand it will be an interactive comic. I think this means a comic in which you might be able to click on certain parts of the comic to trigger certain actions.

true, theese "triggers" are going to switch the look of the comic within an iconic and a manual graphic style (what is represented on the sketches).
the main character, who's one day is going to be represented, is an eeer... "ideally perfect gamer" who's reality is inside gaming or certain things in life that makes him feel good. meanwhile, the "normal" things in life appears to him as icons, symbols and datas wich he cannot really handle like others do.
for an example, people on a bus appers as a simple "tetris", where the crowd is trying to fit perfectly - while playing real tetris makes him to flash into the game, so he imagines the simple pixel blocks as enormous rocks falling from the skies, and he imagines himself as a warlock who is controlling theese by his magical runepower. this will show up as a console game where you select your mage first like in street fighter or more like final fight, then you enter the game and rocks are starting to fall from heavens.
it would be neat to create minigames like this inside, but theese will be only tiny animations just to show the feeling of it.

so same analogy will go for super mario where those tiny pixelturtles will be huge monsters with hammers, wings, and other stuffs just like in the game, and also for tremulous. also, pushing a shopping "car" (idn the name in english, that wire stuff that you put the stuffs in the shopping maul) will make him to feel like in an action game with space ships, and well, sitting on a toilet will make him to feel like sitting in an enourmous mecha, wielding a raging war against invaders, where the gamer mercenary army will be the elite robot controllers, because they have only the reflex and skill to drive them (so as they fight night and day, they don'T have time to go to toilet, thats why the mecha has its built-in one).

i know theese stuffs sounds crazy but thats the aim :-)

I want to show the process like in a blog and i'm curious about the community's opinion.
the main topic is gaming so it's about "us" in a way.
I've already asked some personal helps and i have some issues in my mind what would need some personal help also, depending on how do people like the stuff at all. i'm going to express things in a chaotic and edgy way on purpose.
Also, the language will be in english so i will need native translation, wich could be debated here in the view of style.

i'm trying to push the project really hard so i'll update drawings till weekend for sure.

for me it's quite useful to write about what i think and to explain what i want to do in full sentences, so i get a more clear picture in myself.
i mostly have pullze pieces of my ideas floating around in the beer inside my head.
and many of the ideas were influenced while playing trem and during getting to know an internet gaming community, so its reactions would be interesting to hear.

and as i need help i need to show that i'm doing serious stuff, not just lurking around here to suck out people's email address :-)

no, at first you wouldn't see the next picture at all. it would appear with a small animation as soon as you click on something. it's also not strictly linear, so depending on where you click, the different next picture you'll get.

i've had to play trough quake 2 to see the secret room in the secret room for a scene ^^
and i did most of the backgrounds also.
i disappeared a bit because i was thinking about the exact story :-)

Quake2's music is CD-audio, there is nothing to extract. If he means the loop from the pimp Tank Commander on boss2.bsp, that is just a .wav file, I think it's named xian.wav, or at least something with *xian* in the filename.

Apart from that, Quake2's assets are still the intellectual property of id Software, and therefore asking for and/or handing out said songs is not allowed on this forum.

wow, Lava fan club lol, i see while i was gone the dude took control over the community.

anyway thanks for the info, i start to guess that i am not an admin on my own computer because i can'T see certain things what i should and so on...

i need the loop from the secret end stage's secret stage, where the big mofo is with the two bitches and the two killmenow-dudes, because that will be a scene in my comic in a "different" way.
i can't find the map's contents anywhere and i tried to catch it with gtkradiant, what i succeeded one time but i don'T remember how. not to mention to export it.

but anyway i am just going to show it to friends who will remix it with some instruments so i think i am avoiding copyright issues.

at the same time i would like to know if anyone is composing 8-bit music (or sort of) here, because there are some empty slots on my soundtrack CD :-) remixes of the mentioned loop above, or Giana Sisters, Sonic:emerald hill zone and Wizard of Wor would be maximally appreciated :-)

unfortunately i cannot link what do not exist yet :-)

my deadline is 12th of june, so i am in a hurry.

what i would need for the quake loop - what we are going to compose with a friend tonight - is the waves of what the guys are moaning on the side of the big boss (so the default suffering sounds of the soldiers who have been taken care by the strogg). i think we have to use it with some distirtion, because i just cant make up those epic texts :-)

i am afraid i have to upload things when i get to my workplace, because my data traffic is limited to 2GB, and only yesterday night i used up 860megs.

player1 i think i wrote you a PM someday did i? i am widely opened to anyone's opinions what a "perfect gamer" would be like, who makes his living by gaming and doing nothing else at all. i am trying to build up a kind of philosophy that he could have. i was thinking that he continues the 'cold war' frenzy inside himself as he fed on comics and cartoons what were made to boost up national morale. he is a fighter against the utophy where the AI could possibly take control over humanity (thats why he plays single player games categorizing AI behaviors). he is in the top 10 in every game from tetris trough starcraft or tremulous, to the newest and latest softwares, on every console. i wanna make his narrations a little bit big-headed but still calm, and very different from average.
like if "we"(dudes who plays [or were playing] i think at least 40 hours a week by average here) would be so good to make our living of games and gaming would be the most important in our life what would we be like? :-)
as my time is not endless i am going to make the following scenes:
1 - dream / that shows a fake old comic about the noon bells (i don't know what is your story but here they ring the bells of the churches at noon to remember that "our" army stopped the turkish army at belgrad)
2 - morning of the gamer / showing his room, following him in some super mario training or (interactive) following him to the toilet where he is going to explain that in future wars the gamers will control the giant mechas in 24/7 so their seats will be definitely toilets at once. he is going to take a brief look of the city (what is opposing the other scenes will show up as simple vector graphics, houses looking like computer windows), and he will eat some food - he eats only the stuffs what are good for minimum 3 years because he is preparing to some kind of apocalypse so he is doing "super size me" with cans and instant stuffs.
3 - journey / he takes a ride with local traffic to his friends, meanwhile he is playing tetris. he also stops at a shop because he is training to ride shopping cars what's behavior is theoretically similar to antigrav vehicles (like those scooters at star wars).
4 - meeting friends / this is the old swimming pool what looks like quake2 secret level's secret level on final countdown. there will be the geek bastards. the problem is i didn't found out why he is going there and what he will do there... maybe he will ask the same question from himself so he goes home to turn on his machine, what is a hybrid mac+pc sexacore (well that is for 6 cores does it) cooled by two huge ice blocks when booting.
5 - gaming / there will be the tremulous scene where he pawns some dudes but he meets suddenly a dude of his own kind that he has to face. they will fight ingame and with any tricks and dirty equipments irl like connecting to other's mobile phones, turning off local electricity, turning on car alarms in the area, and everything what can be theoretically achieved trough internet and dirty hacking.

that will be the comic roughly.

now back to work



[EDIT]= my question to all of you is: is my english understandable? because i have to write the texts in english to show it to bigger audience, so i don't know if i need help to translate or is my "style" of writing satisfying? not this one of course but i dirted this forum enough to make it obvious to other nationalities if my visitors will break the monitor when reading it. my basic concept is to keep it in a "gamer" version of english, what is not as complex as the native but easy to read as its 'architecture' is somewhat familiar from games. (i guess many of us learned most of the phrases and words trough gaming).

it's a main concept to make virtual stuffs look naturalist and irl stuff simplified, so probably it will be natural.
but iT's just gonna be 4-5 pictures as i have just 2 weeks left.
now i'm making the animation of the 1st scene of the total 5 :-S

due limited upload capacity i won'T upload all but there are some screenies just to make it easier to imagine.

this is one of our historical heroes at the battle of belgrad (at that time: nándorfehérvár) for tycho: this fella is Kapisztrán János. since he is a priest, he is not using weapons but the heavy chained codex to hack and slash.


and this is the room of the gamer. quite organized and pure.


now i go to draw the main character's friends in that quake room. the music become a bit shitty but well.... :-)
