Suggestion: Boxes

For human , can build a box , could be 3bps or change.
With hitpoints. Players can build other structures on top of it .Reators,repeaters,turrets,spawns..etc can build on top of it.
Another box can build on top of a box.
The size of this box is a bit bigger than a turret, about 1 turret can be build on top of 1 box.
dretches can crawl on it, aliens can jump across it if it didn't build too tall, or chomp to destroy the boxes.

ofcourse, if aliens want, there maybe similar structure for aliens.

Would allow access to places that mappers assume humans can't get to without a jetpack, and as such require lots of the maps to be redone.

Trem 1.2 is gonna come out. Then i assume maps would have to be redone anyway (location inserts in teamchat, etc).

A similar idea is already being looked at, where boxes would be added via layouts to create some more variable gameplay.

First, you have to find a way to stack them all up.
Second, just keep suiciding into every box. Eventually the RC will be low enough to be jumped on and you won't get hurt by the rets as you are high up.

Basi walks up to reac and happily sits on top of it, munching away.
Also, a nice sniping target with few ways to block, plus its hard to repair.

Also, boxes aand other destructible items have shown up in many other threads.

This idea is pointless, and will no doubt be abused to no end if it is implemented. However, greater human building flexibility (on the walls, anyone?) would be welcomed (I think) by most players.

Its kinda done :\ iv added it to my portal mod, i didnt like the stacking part either that is way to unbalancing, they are a human version of cades now

Honestly, as a human player, I could appreciate these. But, as an alien, I would kill them and the dev team that made them. Really, I could go either way, but they would be a **** nuisance.

That's why I'd hate them! Actually, I usually play as humans, and this could backfire. As in, stuck. Badly.

Providing they are small enough (maximum turret size?), humans can jump over them. Unless the builder builds a whole wall of them, in which case he/she'd be on crack and would build a retarded base without the boxes in the first place (e.g. node spam, no 'rets).

True. Very true. But you know that it will encourage such behavior. Like shotguns in Halo. Except Trem is so much better.
