Ok, I just got Ubuntu (Total noob :P), and I installed radiant (using Ingar's instructions) but when I run "radiant" from Terminal, I get this error: "radiant: error while loading shared libraries: libgtkglext-x11-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

Hao can I has libgtkglext-x11-1.0.so.0? D:

Instruction would be teh appreciated :], Thanks,

Start up a terminal and use the command "sudo apt-get install libgtkglext1"

Or go to start -> system -> adept manager then search for and install it from there.

Odin

Or use System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager.

Awesomeness.  Thanks gais.  ;)

Oh BTW, where do the .map's go?  I set the engine path to /usr/share/games/tremulous, but there isn't a map folder in base...

Normally the .map, compiled .bsp and intermediate build files go in ~/.tremulous/base/maps

Thomsen

You can see that hidden dir with ctrl+H in your file manager ;)

Thanks, but...it's the graphics card driver or something.  It's two options:

1) Radiant works, but I can't see what I type on the terminal, or any of the window-bars
2) Radiant fails, but I can see what I type in the terminal, and I can see the window-bars

:P
