Hello, I'm just asking how to set up a server over a LAN without port forwarding. My main reason for asking this is because since on our router all computers on our network are recognized... So if one tried connecting to another's port it would let them through without needing port forwarding right? I know you could just set one up with Tremulous's default "Create Server" method. But that has limited functionality (build points, gravity, etc).
So I've tried making a server using
FooBar's Tutorial. Except I skipped the port forwarding section of it, because I'm just trying to do a LAN game. But my server does not appear in the "Local" servers category on Tremulous. Nor does it show up on any other networked computers.
Can anyone tell me what I must do to get a LAN server running without port forwarding? Help please!
Thanks!
(Yes, I've used the forum search. Yes, I believe this is in the right forum)
