Trem on flash drive?

I don't have internet so I can't play trem.  I was thinking of getting a flash drive and installing trem on it and trying to play at the library.  The library has fast internet and ok computers running Windoze.  Is my plan possible?  Does a windows installation need access to a system folder or something that I might not have access to?  Does anyone play on a public internet?  I suppose the library might have a firewall that would have a problem with it.  Here in a few days I will try it and post again, but any advice would be helpful.

Here's hoping :turret: :turret: :turret: :turret: :turret: :turret:

It is possible with a stock client (can even be easily ran from a CD), if you are going to try to use backport, you will have to fstab it to the right directory.

Other than that, yeah, its perfectly possible.

like troy said, stock client should work fine, updated clients require a little effort to get working, but will also work fine (if those computers use DEP, you'll have to use an updated client)

If the library computer run windows, (which they probably do...) make a .bat that launches trem and changes fs_homepath to the folder containing Tremulous.exe. (I think it's fs_homepath...)  Doing this should save your config, guid, and downloaded maps ALL onto your flash stick.

Yay it works.  Haven't tried anything but the stock client but that is probably enough with these weak computers.  I have to hurry because I only get 60 min of internet at a shot.  I copied my old autoexec.cfg, so I will try to see if that gives me my binds.  Thank you trem!
