I have built a server. How can i add bots in it???

please answer me in a SIMPLE way. I am a noobish player. Do i hav to have admin or somefin? and how can i get it. please answer the whole thing...

Is there a specific question you are asking or did you want someone to spend houres writing an entire guide on how to add bots to a server for you..? If you weren't lazy you would have searched "tremulous bots" on google, clicked the youtube video, which comes up FIRST, the link in the description, and ended up here:

Now, you'll notice that this thread is on this very site.. so even if you didnt google, (which you should ALWAYSE do before asking) you could have searched the forums and found it very easily.

HERE ARE SOME INSTRUCTIONS ONCE YOU'VE READ THAT:::

What I did to get bots on my server was download the game.qvm file. I then replaced my current one with it. (your current one should be in your user directory) ... like documents and settings not program files... The commands to add them are all on that thread I sent the link to already. If you can think of any specific questions ask them and if I know anything I will attempt to help you.

You said you had created a server already.. So I am going to assume you have a server working but for some reason people can't connect through the internet. This is most likely a problem with your router if you have one, in which case I can walk you through port forwarding once you tell me the brand and model of your router. I need to know your internet specs in order to help you with this.

To add bots, download the game.qvm file offered from the link I sent you on the forums and replace your current one with the one you downloaded.
(your current one should be in your user directory in the file named "vm"

The commands to add the bots are :

!bot add [botname] [team]
!bot add ROBOCOP humans - adds ROBOCOP to human team
!bot add ALIENBOT aliens - adds ALIENBOT to alien team

!bot del [name-match]
!bot del ROBO - deletes every bot that contains 'ROBO' in their name
!bot del BOT - deletes every bot that contains 'BOT' in their name

!botcmd [name-match] [command]
This will change the bot behavior.
!botcmd ROBOCOP idle <-- idle. don't shoot enemy, nothing.
!botcmd ROBOCOP standground <-- stand ground but kill enemy.
!botcmd ROBOCOP regular <-- chase enemy and kill (default behavior).
!botcmd ROBOCOP teamkill <-- consider teammates as enemies.
!botcmd ROBOCOP followattack <-- follow me until you see enemy, kill it, then follow me again!
!botcmd ROBOCOP followidle <-- follow me no matter what. Do not attack.

To become an admin on your server you must type this::: (assuming your name is "monty" and your remote password is "12345") --  /rcon 12345 !setlevel monty 5

-You can set up your rcon password in your server.cfg file in your tremulous/base folder in your program files.

Look, let me get this straight. I have no server. I have no amintest shit. I have no bots. I HAVE NOTHING!!! The server I said I had created was actually the "local" server, you know. So, to start off, I would like to know how to create an Online Working Server the easiest way. Look, and please dont tell me to alter my SVN, QVM or other shit. I hav absolutely no idea what the fuck ur talking about. Please give me the "info"/"guide" as if u were explaining it to a fuckiong retard.

Next, I wish to know, the simplest way there is, to add bots to the server I've made (which u will show me how to).

To be honest, I do not think there is a guide I could write that you would understand, unless I wanted to create a small novel.

BUT since I did say I would help you, I would be willing to build it for you assuming you have MSN and can "request remote assistance".

Otherwise, here is the chance for someone... Anyone to step in and help..? But I wouldn't hold my breath considering most people have better things to do with thier time than write guides about things that already have multiple guides.

Click above for an awesome guide on how to build a server. After you've read / understood that (after knowing what a qvm is), you'll have to find a qvm with bots in.
