Hey, I have a few questions...
« on: May 04, 2008, 04:28:55 pm »
And yes, I already did a search, but feel free to link me to a helpful thread if needed :)

Just yesterday I downloaded this wonderful Freeware game.  I find it pretty sweet.

So, I have a few questions, I skimmed through the manual and found it to be pretty lackluster on these topics.

-How can I change my In-Game name?
-Is there a list of the controls somewhere?

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. :D

Hello, Keys. Good to hear you like the game, I do so too.

Open the options meny ingame to change your name. (can only be opened during games by pressing the 'esc' button or by entering a console command I do not know.)

The keys are configurable in the same meny, but the deafult controls are the typical 'wasd' setup, with a few additions for Tremulous' features.
The key setup, and even additional functions can be made with a bind script, you can download some popular setups from threads on the forum.

Have fun playing, hope you whup some alien/human ass pretty soon.

'Ello Keys,

To change your name in the main menu, just open the console by pressing the ` (tilde) key (left of the 1 key) and typing /name [name here].

To view all your binds, open console and type /bindlist (or is it listbinds?) and press enter. It'd give you all the binds currently bound to all the keys (and mouse buttons).

Hope that helps.

Can an admin set my name to Amtie please?

I'll add a bit. Use ^ and a number to change the color of your letters.
1=red
2=green
3=yellow
4=blue
5=cyan
6=magenta
7=white

So, ^1M^4I^36 turns out to be MI6.

Hai, Mithter Keiz.

To change your name in the main menu, just open the console by pressing the ` (tilde) key (left of the 1 key) and typing /name [name here].

If your name is more than one word, put double quotes (") around it, or at least at the beginning of the name.  Or just "ESC-->Options-->name"...

Trem is Open Source, not freeware.
