How to appeal a mistaken ban?
« on: May 07, 2008, 04:03:10 am »
I was just banned from the AA server by mistake, or so I can assume from the reason given. I was banned for aimbotting, even though I never use aimbots and was playing as aliens when I was banned. The ban is permanent, so I was wondering where I might be able to contact the server admin and appeal for a lift on the ban, since I did not commit the offense. Thank you for any information you can offer.

The ban was just lifted, so sorry for wasting your time.

I'll lock this before it becomes a free-for-all.. but the general rule of thumb is to post an appeal on the server's own forums or otherwise try to contact an admin or owner there directly.  It's one thing to post something (say, in the Servers board) and ask if someone knows where to contact an admin/ownere of such-and-such server, but asking to have a ban lifted here is usually fruitless since not all the server owners/admins read the forums here.
