How do you bite structures as a Dretch?

How do you do it?  I see all these other Dretches chew on structures, but I can't figure it out.

What's the trick?

You can only chew on defensive structures (tesla, turret). THis is really annoying, and i think it needs to be fixed.

I agree I think you should be able to bite everything or nothing, as dretchs do every little to no damage to turrets unless the reactor is down anyway.

You can bite blueprints as well. just don't do enough damage to really impede it by yourself.

It is odd that a dretch can kill a turret but nothing else.  Is the argument for this that dretches could just hide behind something and kill it, making it too hard for humans?  I don't see the point. :-?

As far as being able to kill a blueprint, I know it works for turrets, but I don't even hear a bite sound when I try to bite a reactor or whatnot.  Any confirmation on this one?

I think this needs to be straightened out one way or another.  FWIW, i think dretches should be able to attack all buildings, because as far as I can tell there is no good reason for them to be unable to.

That would make maps like transit and pulse to be deadly for humans. Just imagine how much faster matches will end with dretches killing telenodes.

I'd like to see how it works though. Maybe for advance dretch :)

Against turret blueprints it works. Likewise with a newly placed reactor blue print, but like I said previously, if it's already underway you're just not doing enough damage to impede it so best to back way before you get zapped :)
