Ideas for getting more TP

Okay, first of all I want to say that I don“t have any idea of how much programming any of this whould require but I have some ideas that could enable more team play. What I want is for players to be able to support one another, like using a medpack on a teammate so he can countinue fighting without returning to the base, and indirectly not feeding opposing team. Also being able to hand over amuniton whould be great.

However if one where to be able to heal teammates then you whould alsu have to be able to see their health status.

EDIT: More audio thaunts could be good for coordinationg attacks and defence of a base etc. better than having to type everything.

AnubisReturns

not a bad idea.. but i think seeing other's health is needed for sure.. esspecially in friendly fire enabled games.

We could use some hitsounds, and a different sound for team mates/team buildings. And maybe yet another sound for headshots. You know, like in ETpro :)

8 ) Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at.
18 ) Make it too tough for the enemy to get in and you can't get out.

Very good idea to see each others health (and armor).
Giving ammo and health kit isn't that good, because
- it would be only-Human privilege
- players could make a 'chain' so the Humans at the end of the 'line' would always receive ammo and health... and that's not fair at all :D

Look at the previous threads discussing the "Medic" class.

Although it works well for Enemy Territory, this is a different game.  It would severely reduce the human's dependance on their base, making them disproportionately more powerful if they travel in groups.

It would also greatly increase the amount of spam firing.  Who needs to run back to base to reload when you have a Field Ops* giving you ammo.

Yes, though, a V-say system like Enemy Territory (or Tribes, or whatever, you know what I mean) would be tremendously useful.

Not a bad idea both the alien and human team could use a slight facelift, but then again it could be a bad idea since battle suits have more then enough defense to destroy the aliens base. Just think one or two noobs could simply stand behind a good player in battle armor and keep healing him at a rapid rate while the good player is taking damage.

I figured medics had been a "beat to death" kind of topic. But still, seeing other players health and maybe ammo(for humans) whould be great. And audio thaunts for coordination.

Hi, I know I'm new so if I talk out of line, put me in my place.

I think by making it an extra weapon to purchase, on either side, or a "medic" unit, you wouldnt get too much stacking. This would mean only 1 or 2 players in the game would go this at any one time.

I think one major problem is abuse of it. The idea is great and in games like Americas Army it works great because you only stop bleeding but there is no such thing as bleading in Trem

I swear, every time I see the topic title, I think "Ideas for getting more Toilet Paper."

The ideal taunt system would be content sensitive:

When the key is pressed and you are looking at
- an enemie: normal taunt!
- a building: repair building!
- a friendly: follow!
etc.

That would be a nice feature, but I'm sure it would be a pain to code.
