Hemispheres - patch question

Sorry if I'm being dumb about something, but is there an easy way to create a hemisphere with patches in Radiant? I'm sure I've done it before, but I can't for the life of me remember how. I've tried creating a circular patch (not with cylinder->end cap) and then dragging the middle vertex downwards to bend the patch in the middle, but that doesn't make the patch rounded enough at the point where the depth of the bowl is equal to the radius of the circle.

It ends up looking like this:

Any ideas on how to make it properly rounded?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Patch mesh, 5x5. 1:2 ratio for round.

I'm busy. I'll ignore you later.

I can create circular tunnels like that, but what I'm after is a dome shape - if you look at it from above, it would be a circle. What I think I need is an extra set of the pink control points but without creating more green ones. Or something like that :S

Just use a cone and top it off till you have the desired curvature.

Thanks, that works excellently! Not sure why it's under "Cone" though...

Because it creates a cone-shape.

that doesnt look very round ingame (and on radiant) tho, its sorta squarish...
move the edge verts a bit inward, it helps it look much better.

The best way is to use bevels (assuming Trem supports them, I don't see why it wouldn't). The bevel created a curved patch, you can then drag the circle vertices to a central point, copy it 3 more times and rotate into position, then drag the the top vertices down slightly to remove the slight point on top.
