did my servers get banned from tremulous?

I was setting up a new server and it worked fine(on the server list and everything) but i wanted it at the top of the list and people on it so i added boxes and named it [][][][][][][][][][]STT Trem(not sst trem) then i leave it on for an hour come back and want to connect to it but its not there.  Now i am confused because it was there 1 hour earlier and it was on the server list.  So i try to connect to it manually it works.  I was wondering if it was on the list so i go to a different computer in a different city and try it out.  Unfortunately it is isn't on the list i thought that maybe i pissed off paradox because i here he is friends with the owner of sst.  So fealing stupid for not taking my friend's advice who warned me about naming it sst trem or anything related to I post here here hoping i wont be banned.

Just prevented them from pinging his server, which hosted the master server.

I think he modded the master server code to do more validation and bin invalid servers.

People like para have a vested interest in bugged servers being on the list, so there was a big protest when he did it without warning.
Had we known then what we know now, we wouldn't have complained.

To have a good server, it does not have to be high on the list, it has to have logical, good, and understanding admins and good gameplay settings

Sadly 99% of the plebs don't get that, and go for the top of the list.

I guess when box-name servers out-number the no-box servers, including the empty ones, we'll take another look at it, eh?

nope, it didn't ban anyone. it just didn't list any servers with non-alphanumeric characters at the start of the name. changing sv_hostname and sending a heartbeat was enough to get back on the list. (there were no boxes back then by the way)
