Here is a useful and not too unbalancing idea for the s3 dretch:  the ability to see the health of your enemy.

This would be great for those battlesuit fights when you aren't sure if a 'suit is mostly dead or at 94 health, and you don't want to just die needlessly.  It would provide a chance for the dretch to be a little bit more useful in s3 by picking off weak enemies, rather than having tons of them killing themselves trying to hit whoever they can, and getting fried in the process.

I would see this as being like s3 adv. granger.  This change would not throw off balance, but would make the dretch serve a useful function and be a little bit more strategic and fun to play.

Also, do the current human hit sounds have anything to do with health?  I know there are about 3 different sounds, but I can never tell if they have to do with health status, where you hit, or what.  It would be good to have dying sounds like mara and dragoon, and/or a headshot sound.

possible implementations- health bar like builders have would be the obvious choice.  However, I think it would be kind of cool to find something a little more related to the aliens.  For instance, something that corresponded more to a scent or instinct.  Like, a reddish hue that showed up on all or part of a humans body, or a kind of pulse that got stronger/weaker depending on the humans health.  I for one really like the idea of a dretch being able to "smell blood" or feel the pulse of a human, and this would add an interesting feel to the weak s3 alien.

yeah, their hit sounds change as their health drops, so its easy to tell which human is about to fall next. Its probably the only way you can survive as a dretch later on, as retreating doesn't mean they're badly damaged.

some visual indicator would be nice, as sound is hard to follow if you are constantly moving farther and closer to your target (as a dretch is supposed to)

I guess the hitsounds change at 50/25hp insted of total health percentage.
