I've been looking for a patch to add something to my QVM, a command called !bank, maybe you've heard of it. Any suggestions on where to get this patch?

Paradox

Bank, like the thing in around svn 400?

I don't know what you mean by that...

Tremulous svn

Apparently something along the lines of "!bank" was added around svn 400 (currently 1090).

This is the revision where it was removed, so that's the last functional code. Looks like it was an H building.

Apparently there used to be "floatmines" (spidermines?) too, which were removed at the same revision.

Doesn't look like g_admin.c even exists...

g_admin.c did not exist until after the release of 1.1.0. I believe it was included some time around rev8xx.
I've never heard of !bank as an admin command.

I have seen a !bank command on a server, where it was used to store player credits into a "bank account". Players later could retrieve the stored credits to "refill" their credits count.

ain't that the restore-when-left-in-same-game feature?

Yes. Like I said, it was a building for humans, not an admin command.

That's "ptrc".

Le Compilateur

Ah thanks Bissig, that was what I meant. Is there a patch for it?

How do you release a qvm but can't figure out how to make this? It's trivial even without that, but you've been handed a pile of code that does what you're asking, only activated by a building instead of an admin command. Take that and put it into an admin command. Consider it a learning exercise. It will be good for you.

There is a max cash limit for a reason.  A very important reason.
If you can't see that then maybe you should leave balance changes to those who understand what they're doing.

Ouch. I'm good at swapping code around to fit different situations, it just didn't occur to me here. Please excuse any ignorance on my part since I am a relatively new coder.

@David: ... Yes, it's a major balance change. And yes, there is a reason. It's just that not everyone wants to adhere to the "traditional" balance rules.

Bank was disabled in 407, about 50 revs before it was removed entirely.

Meh, I've decided not to overmilk a dead cow. Bank functionality was disabled for a reason, I don't know what it was but it must've been good.
