ODDity, actually it is allowed in the Eurovision because its one of the countries that pays lots of crap to it.

65% of the people already in the EU do not want it to join, yet the leaders keep ignoring this and keep trying to persuade people to let Turkey in.

On the other hand if you really think that Turkey has much more benefits than EU has in this relationship, I'd say either you don't know much about politics and the purposes of that union or you don't know anything about Turkey..

If the Euro wants Israel to be part of Euro, and Israel agrees.. so be it.

Who are you to question what both parties agreed to of which you have no association with ?

Unless you are from Turkey and you disliked the idea of your country being part of Europe of course.

In that case, suck it harder. The pain will go I promise.

P/S: Israel has similarities to how western countries manage their government. Either way this is a pointless debate.

Turkey is in a very important location, the Euros esp. UK would like it as an ally at least, a member at best.

The big difference between Israel and Turkey is that Israel is a terrorist state that does not adhere to international laws and regulations, whereas Turkey does. So Israel would never be able to join the EU in the first place.

Agreed. My point was the similarity in how they handle their own country.. not others. US is a terrorist state too, once they invaded Iraq with the lame 'Weapon of Mass Destruction' reason when the truth is their fuel reserve was running low. They torture their so called 'terrorist' prisoners and you don't know when you will get out once you are thrown inside.

Apples and oranges are two different things.. but you can make an analogy on their sizes, or on how bitter the seeds can be ;)

What was I was trying to prove was the geographical location of Turkey not how it manages the country ....

On the other hand they do have democracy in their country

What they need to get over with is the Cypriot dispute =)

Why? Why should Turkey adhere to stricter rules than other European countries? The UK still occupies a part of Ireland. France still has it's colonies, the Netherlands have their colonies. I think just about every western European country has it's own 'Cyprus'.
