REGINALD looking for clan
« on: June 26, 2008, 09:04:21 pm »
Hi. The name is REGINALD. I'm from Westerchester, New York, just a tad bit west from Norwalk and Stamford and east from Ossining. I am 18 years old and attend Westchester Academy of International Studies where I am soon to be graduating as I near the finish of my dual studies in English and Global History. I plan to attend McGill university in the Fall after this summer, where I plan to attain a degree in Philosophy and Liberal Arts. After that I hope to continue and go to graduate school at Indiana university to study under Douglas Hofstadter. In my life, he has been and is such an inspirational role model for me. I hope to get an appointment as an associate professor at Indiana university and teach courses in Greek philosophy and do research to get tenured. Once I get tenure at Indiana, I hope to go into business consulting in various global markets to make more money for different charities like Lupus Foundation of America, Coalition for the Homeless, and Africare. All said and done, I hope to live a fulfilling and meaningful life to make the world a better place than when I has entered it and give to people of lower means, whether it be education, financial support, friendship, or what have you be.

Right now, as you know, is the summer, so I'm working part-time at Cleaver's hardware shop to get by. That means that I have a few extra time for my personal activities and hobbies, which is, as you know tremulous.   :turret:  :tyrant:
I am looking for a clan OR guild  to join for this summer. Basically, I am looking for a strong minded group of guys and gals to roll with the fun times, as they say. I am equally interested in fun play and scrimmages against other clans. Above all being the quality and will of character of the people I am playing with. I'm looking to find a respectful clan that doesn't take the game too seriously, but at the same time doesn't not take it too seriously, if you know what I mean. Now, I'm a versatile player and like to play many of the classes. Here is a small breakdown of what I perceive my skills to be. I'm going to be using a scale from 1-10 to assess myself to the best of my abilities.

If you find any errors in these numbers, please contact me so I can make the appropriate corrections. "A man who has committed a mistake and doesn't correct it, is committing another mistake."

Might I add, you seem like a nice guy.  Don't be afraid to wait around for a "good" clan you really want to be in.  Sometimes the bad repercussions of joining a crappy clan will far outweigh any experience you get out of it.

Try finding some guys a little above your skill level, then haunt their server, forums and Teamspeak for a few weeks.

Hello,
Nice description. I wish you find a clan and play CWs. Don't forget that it is preferable to choose a clan with whom you have good relations.  :egg:

Reginald, name a server and what time you'll be on it this week (after business hours please) and I would very much like to play a few games with you.  And a word of advice: You may find you attract more friends without having your name in all caps.

Re-reading this, it may have appeared a bit hostile.  That wasn't my intent at all.

I've enjoyed some of your posts here, and would like to see you play.  :)

As long as you fail at using proper punctuation, you might not want to ridicule the spelling and grammar errors of others.

i didn't ridicule it, that's why the "+1" is there, what has a positive meaning as far as i know. i just didn't think that this kind of 'denying structure' exists in english minds.

I just wanted to take another shot at trying to make you write readable posts. Guess I failed, again.

I saw REG on DT today. He has a lot to live up to. He also built one game and dominated the other
