I played Tribes, and hated game ruiners.

I have forgotten to announce reac moves, however (except I'm usually teamchatting with the other builder, so if people get a chance to read the cyan stuff whilst fighting, they'll have a pretty good idea of what's up).

Nading the base counts as a decon for me, it's basically a different action to reach the same result.

I've done vote nades (custom vote to nade base, if it passes you blow the base), base nades 5 seconds before the map ends, and messed with Pol and deconned on there for teh lulz.

Yes. During a (very)boring round with the wwF*Team, me and my teammates have deconned the base for end the game.

A little while ago, our base was doomed with 3 rants in it. So I ended it fast with 4 nades, killing all 3 rants and ending the game.

Also, probably the beginning of June, me and Karos teamed up for a base nade, middle of the game. I gathered 3000 creds and told him that when I started throwing them, he would have to start sharing me all he had rapidly. I ended up spamming 24 nades all over the place, and it killed the whole team of like 8 people and the entire base, ending the game immediately. Was fun shit.

But yea, this game is too old to taken seriously anymore, can't help but nade my base and saw my teammates. Pubs aren't meant to be taken seriously, they are generally lame as hell with a bunch of campers and tk'ers.

I administrate SatGNU just fine, as do all of our admins and we do not have many deconners. If a game drags on for too long without anything going on but camping, there will either be a decon or a !nextmap. If you decon during a perfectly fine game, purely for the purpose of ruining the fun, you get a smack with the banstick. If you fail to see the not so subtle difference between the two motivations to decon, I guess you would be the kind that gets banned rather quickly.

I ignored the 'other' content in your post because it was about me as a player, and since you and I have, to my knowledge, never played together, your assumptions are just that, assumptions.

And last but not least: Of all the people that belong to SatGNU, jhaa would be the last in line to be a 'Lava Croft fanboy'. My assumption is that he replied because you made a stupid statement about the age of game and seriousness, and in effect made a negative, untrue statement about Tremulous.

Whining about how all public servers are lame camp/tk feasts is not criticizing, it's showing a good amount of disrespect for the people who pay for your games of Tremulous, and the people who spend time on keeping those games as running smooth as possible. It's a gift from the server owner and his admins to you, the Tremulous player. Who are you to criticize this gift? Where is your gift?

Of course it's criticizing, and whether they pay for it or not is irrelevant, you don't see mmorpg companies telling their players to shutup and not complain, infact they condone it. I'm not dissing the server owners I'm dissing the playerbase that attends the server.
