Crying 'HACKER'

Just played a game as human on ACTS, I was doing OK..about a kill a minute or so and not feeding when a player by the name of Invalid@Ubuntu (I'm embarrassed - a fellow Ubuntian)  starts with the HACKER shouts as I..err..shot him (as a dretch) with a shotgun and (unsuccessfully) tries to vote me out.  This annoys me and spoilt what would've been a good game, I mentioned that someone could spectate me if they wanted to AND that the fact that I was bottom of the pile the previous game (I can be pretty sucky as alien) was suggestive of the fact that I wasn't..or I had special 'crap hacks' on  ("miss bot"?)..but he just carried on and on..he cried off eventually, but it did spoil my game - spesh as I spent a couple of minutes typing in an undermanned team.

Anyhoo, thats the rant, and the question is:  What do you do if someone starts doing that?

There is no way I'm good enough in any way for someone to accuse me of being a hacker.

I simply refuse to fuel someones stupidity and ignorance.
While hacking might be possible, I'm yet to see it in-game. Someone accusing me of hacking simply cuz they die of my dretch deadshots need to go play against [FU]Orc and such. I'd be currious to see what they think of them.

Yea. Theres not hacks for drench.  But is a WMD in skilled hands.

To stop skilled players, you sould use teamwork. Because teamwork > skill.  A good player will be anoyed If his team can't help then and lost

Except that would be letting the griefer get it's way, and we don't want griefers to ruin the game.

I've had it before a few times, even being kicked once just for playing too well as a human(admitted by the people in that particular game).

Most usual outcome is that if someone keeps spamvoting you, then just create a vote against them afterwards and normally everyone will vote them out.

Also getting irritated by the 'rader = wallhacking' crowd of newbie aliens.

I wouldn't leave as I'd feel that it would reinforce the guy's paranoia - "he's been found out".  I'd agree with your last bit - people like him must bubble over with annoyance if they play against someone who is actually good.

Teiman - I was the one with the shotgun and he was the dretch...that was what made it even more ridiculous.  Shotguns regularly make Dretches mincemeat..thats why I use it at S1/2.

I guess you could suggest that they temporarily change name and then spectate and record the person they are suspicious about...but I suspect that crying 'HACK' is more about frustration at not being very good than any real concerns.

I was once voted out from transit by noob aliens. After one especially noobish dretch got killed after he wallwalked right into the lower left corner of my screen thinking I can't see him (while he could very clearly see ME), they started accusing me of using wallhack. :eek: :roll:
