spontaneous human base decon?

Map with a subway.
Human team base in original location, moved high on boxes, reactor on ceiling with one telenode. /Me jetpacking and repairint. Aliens hepelessly dying under my turrets. And all of a sudden half of a base vanished in a thin air ?!?!?!! a minute later reactor with telenode vanished (I was standing right next to telenode and repairing it, so it was not destroyed). There were no messages on the console about humans deconning the base, there was few minutes till sudden death yet I was unable to rebuild the base, game keep insisting on "no points, decon something biach".

I can see 2 possibilities.
1 some alien witch a hack to decon human base (unprobable, game was sure that human base is in place and no points are available)
2 bug (weird, bug would make the whole base invisible at once, not in two fazes)

So what really happened?

Server too hot? maybe float errors on the FPU. I guest Quake is very picky about stuff builded outside map (inside solids).

Looks almost like hardware error, because is very very rare.

that could be it, in the middle of that game i build armory floating between boxes, it was few inches higher than the smaller box beneatch, and jetpackers were able to fly thru it, I deconed it right away (it was too high for nonjetpackers to buy).
