I've played for a while now and It's pretty hard to determinate where the alien is... because it isn't viewed from above. I'd want to see some changes to the radar, like removing structures from it and something that would make it look better.

One major thing I would suggest is that when an alien doesn't move (especially dretch), It wouldn't be seen by the radar. That would increase dretch chance of suprise attacks against humans, which also increases the 'scariness' if you play as human.

In which case you simply need more practice. I can use both human radar and aliens senses to near pinpoint enemies without any difficulties. Radar is awesome for fooling aliens into a false sense of security and letting them chase you, before spinning and delivering a lucy blast to their face...

And for god sake dont remove structures from it. Egg hunts are hard enough as it is!

Radar's fine except the lines and circles on human radar could be a little thinner. I'd like to see teammates too on alien radar though (green dots?).

If you're that close to your base where alien and friendly signitures are being overlapped, it's time to stop looking at the radar and realize your base is under attack :P

I think it would be nice to see friendlies on the alien radar, too.

Also, the alien radar DOES need some work on wallwalking.  Maybe you are just too "1337" for me, but as soon as I am on a wall or ceiling the orientation for the alien radar is off, and while it might still be readable if you mentally flip it around, it is counterintuitive at best. :P

Human radar I usu. don't have problems with. It does a good job of displaying where aliens and friendlies are in 3 dimensions, and I for one can't think of many better ways to display all of the info it does at one time.

i use cg_disableScannerPlane 1. may take a bit of time to get used to but i don't like having the huge scanner graphic in the way.

Thanks Jex for that command.  :)
Now the radar looks more better to me.

Just the only thing that I miss in this game is that when dretch doesn't move, it wouldn't be seen in the radar.  :-?

All else seem pretty dealt.

Well then that's a good tactic for the Aliens, isn't it? Thing is, I rarely see a dretch that's not moving unless he's on the ceiling waiting to drop on someone's head... so I don't think it's really a problem.
