Hey, Evoc again. I know I am posting quite a few topics, but as all of the topics are unrelated, I'd like to keep them separate, so that each topic can stay "focused." Please, no flaming. Thanks.

Now, I already know how to extract the .md3's from the big .pk3 data file, and I know how to import the .md3s. When I import a human, which is the only model I've tested (I think I was testing a human's head), it appears like a square in Radiant. Is it supposed to do this, as I know that turrets are but I am not so sure about humans. Also, I've read that sometimes it will show up as completely white or black, because there are no textures to texture it. Why does this happen and how can I prevent it?

Oh, and YES, I have used the search tool. No flaming, please. I found some stuff, but it was hard to understand - I am a mapping newbie. So could someone please explain to me how to correctly import a .md3 Human or Alien model into Radiant, but do so in a way that could make me understand - what I mean by this is that I don't want you to assume that I know ANYTHING beyond what was discussed above, so anything that was not discussed above would need to be thoroughly explained.

Thanks again, everyone.

I have been wondering the exact same thing. If you figure it out on your own, be sure to post here.

If a model appears black, make sure you have lights nearby.

Use spawnflags 6 to make the models solid and lightmapped.
Use spawnflags 4 to make the models nonsolid and lightmapped.
