I'd love to donate to the developers of this great game, BUT:

I am not going to create a PayPal account.

I know too much about computer systems to trust PayPal. If you can give me informations about a bank account, I will happily spend some bucks for a good cause, but, again, I am not going to do so via PayPal and the like.

I have retired from Tremulous. Definetely. If you play a game just because it has become a habit, but u'r only feeling like a kindergarten teacher - well, maybe I am just getting too old (hell, I was a teenager when DukeNukem3D was *new*) - it's probably not a bad idea to just let it be. And I do.

Zybork: You do not need a paypal account to donate with a credit card or bank account. Just click on the donate link, sign in to your sourceforge account. Click on one of the paypal donate buttons, then on the next screen where you are sent to paypal, just click the link that says "Don't have a Paypal Account?"

You will then be sent to a page to put in your CC info for a one-time CC transaction (it's still handled by paypal, but no account, and not other stuff needed).

You can see the picture I attached for an explanation of what I mean.

No problem at all.
I wanted to donate in the past, but never made time to.  But since I was free last night, I went ahead and done so.
I'll donate more in the future.

You could always post instructions how to donate without a sourceforge account.
If you are like me you don't want yet another account to keep track of.

Another idea to boost donations might be to post a list of donations on the webpage, sorted by amount. Could include the donors messages as well. My guess is when people see how many others have donated they are more inclined to donate themselves.

Btw: I donated quite some time ago, and I don't have a badge :(

Oh, seems like there is already such a list. Although its a bit hidden.
I didn't donate via sourceforge, but to a paypal account directly.
