Hi all!

I've made up a video of a new map I'm developing (not released yet).

Enjoy :D

Change the skybox to something more colorful that will add a nice contracts.

The brushwork and texturing could use a lot more attention.

Personally I don't think the texturing so far is a problem, but there's a lack of interesting geometry. In places you've got pipes and columns adorning the walls, which is good, but then you have a lot of flat, empty walls which isn't.

Thanks for replies and suggestions. As I wrote in the video description on YT, this map is not ready and under heavy development. I'm aware about a LOT of places and walls without any kind of decoration and geometry details, and I can say for sure that this map won't be release nor in alpha neither in beta untill all ambients would get an enjoyable decoration level.

@ Kaleo: video was lighten up by gamma 1.8 after recording with transcode.

@ Lava: about textures, I've used Evil8 texture set, and I think I won't switch to another texture set. I'm not a graphic designer, so I can't create a texture set on my own  :-[ . About brushwork, what do you mean? What I've written before, or something different?

@ CactusFrog: maybe, interesting idea. I need to try it ;)

Again, thanks to all!

@Codernem: About the textures: You could look in the Random Dev Shots thread for an awesome looking Quake4 texture set,
currently used by Odin and supertanker. Don't be shy to mix textures from different sets either.
About the brushwork: It looks a bit angular, and simple. Try cutting up your walls and floors some more, adding trims, niches, that kind of stuff. Anything goes to break up the monotone look of Evilair's textures.

RedGuff

Hello. :)
Very impressive ! Please use the conventional colors for the walls or the lights : blue only for human base and around, and red for alien base and around. The neutral places can be gray (I hate this color), brown, yellow...
Fumer tue !

Why should he conform to the thousand other identical maps for Tremulous? Why shouldn't he experiment?

Nice!  But now when/if it is released, it won't be too big of a surprise.  :D

Looks very nice! Vaguely reminds me of that spaceship on which Leia was captured by Vader, episode 5. (Yeh, i Know.. Star wars.. but that's what it made me think of.)
