Open the Windows Explorer and enter %appdata% in the adress field. I think it takes you to a place somewhere near X:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\.

There is nothing there because you probably cannot see hidden folders. Enable the showing of hidden folders somewhere in Explorer's options.

Are you using a 'new' Tremulous.exe, or the Tremulous.exe as provided by the 1.1.0 installer?

In case of the first, your autogen.cfg should be somewhere around AppData, in a folder called Tremulous\
In case of the latter, your autogen.cfg will be in a folder next to your Tremulous.exe, called base\

But, since I don't use Vista, it's rather hard to troubleshoot this. I'll change your topic title to reflect this.

You can also use the Search tool provided with Vista to search your entire computer for the file autogen.cfg

[PS] You can edit your own posts, so you do not have to doublepost :)

I am not using Vista, but I have read that the Vista search tool only searches files that have registered extensions. So unless you have a program that registered *.cfg you won't find it.

You could open a cmd window and type the command

WHERE /R C:\ autogen.cfg

(assuming you have Tremulous installed on drive C:)

Yea, vista can be a bitch if you don't execute everything with administrator. Be sure to do that.
