Getting info for -1 servers
« on: June 16, 2006, 05:13:22 am »
I know that this has been posted in a separate topic, but in that topic the user was able to connect by ip, which I cannot.

I am doing it correctly, because I have used the exact same text before to connect to the server I play most often, and it worked then.

It happens usually when I do something.. big I suppose would be a good word. Such as Searching for a player, if the player search is unsuccessful, All the servers disapear and I cannot connect to any.

It says on the bottom-Getting info for -1 servers, or something very similar, when in fact about 40 are generally up.

it also happens sometimes when I refresh the server list, and it lasts anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes, after which it seemingly fixes itself, without any intervention from me.

Yes, I was just having this problem, except it didn't fix itself right away this time.

Here's what happened:

At first, the server list popped up just fine.  I joined the AKKA server, but the teams were full.

So, I kept my eye on an advanced basilisk to see if he was going to be able to do anything useful.

He ran around a little, and then just froze in place.

A second later, it started giving me the standard "Connection Interupted" stuff, and flashed the unplugged cable in the corner.

I disconnected, and then it started giving me the -1 servers.
