Common textures problems

This is driving me crazy. I can load the common set of textures just fine. I can apply them to brushes. But in game, they appear as gray bricks with white lines on them.

For example. When I make a cushion texture, it goes on just fine. In game, it appears as the gray box with white lines on it and doesn't cushion you.

Same for ladder. I can't climb it. It just appears the same as the cushion.

Same for player clip. I can walk on it, but I can also see it.

I am on Radiant 1.4. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe you arent using Tremulous Textures? also check that the textures are from the tremulous/base/textures folder and your not loading them from somewhere else on your computer

Start using the shaders instead of just the textures. Add common and common-trem to your shaderlist.txt.

Jacques

They are already there. I make a brush, select "common" from the textures drop-down menu, and apply it to the brush.

What am I doing wrong?

"common" is not in and of itself a texture.  It is a group of basic textures/shaders that have proved to largely be indispensable.

Do you have the common-spog.pk3?

Jacques

Doom - What I meant was that I load the common texture set. Then pick a texture, and apply it. None of them work for me.

Lux - I do.

same thing here it looks like..
When i make a ladder out of brushes then apply the shader to it, or the other way arround, the ladder doesnt work. Cant climb it.

Sounds like Radiant can find the shaders but q3map2 cannot. Are they both configured to look in the right place for shaders?

That would imply q3map2 spamming a lot of error while compiling...

Jacques

I use the built-in compiler. It always runs fine without any errors, except the occasional leak.

Im pretty sure its set up properly. Would you like a screenshot of my configure window for q3map2?
Also, for the Configure Q3Map2 Toolz would i put the base folder as 'base' or the whole path?
