Resolution Issues
« on: October 22, 2008, 03:00:51 am »
I tried adjusting resolution, the game crashed, and now I cannot start it. I tried reinstalling the game as the FAQ says, but this did not solve the problem. I reinstalled my graphics drivers, ran a registry cleaner, and rebooted my computer several times. What should I do?

run tremulous.exe +set r_mode 4 in a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd.exe -> cd to where tremulous is installed -> tremulous.exe +set r_mode 4)

Hey i figured out a fast way to use R_mode 4:

Go make a shortcut of tremulous and edit the command line after the quotation marks ("") and add  ' +set r_mode 4 ' to the end of it.
I'm not sure if you gotta change the settings and then delete the shortcut, as it may keep on resetting your mode.

Or be a real script kiddie and make a batch file / shell script. :P

Learn what a term means before using it.

Quote
In hacker culture, a script kiddie, occasionally script bunny, skiddie, script kitty, script-running juvenile (SRJ), or similar) is a derogatory term used for an inexperienced malicious cracker who uses programs developed by others to attack computer systems, and deface websites. It is generally assumed that script kiddies are juveniles who lack the ability to write sophisticated hacking programs on their own,[1] and that their objective is to try to impress their friends or gain credit in underground hacker communities.[1]

Wow. If you couldn't catch the sarcasm there, there's no hope for you... I meant it not as an insult, but not as serious advice, either; it was merely a joke, one that apparently you failed to recognize as such.
