So, you have arrived to this board because you have a problem with making Tremulous maps. Smart move, since this is the perfect place to get your problem solved. If you follow these guidelines, we are sure your troubleshooting request will be dealt with in a proper manner.

Before posting:

1: Read the Mapping Wiki. People have spent time creating it, you can show respect by taking the time to read it.

2: Use the Search function to see if you can find any information about your problem.

3: If you fail at using the Search function, at least take some time to look around on this board to see if your problem bas been dealt with before.

4: Make good use of Google. It has indexed a tremendous amount of information about Tremulous/Quake3 mapping.

While posting:

5: Write an informative post, with an informative subject line (not "HALP PLZ"), providing as much information as you can about your problem, your map, and the situation in which the problem occurred. If applicable, provide information about your computer, and the version of GtkRadiant you are using. Explain what steps you have undertaken while trying to solve the problem yourself. Do not be shy to give out information, it's better to give too much information than too little which will only annoy people, since they have to ask you questions. And since this is your problem, you should be the one asking the questions.

6: Read your post over before actually posting it. This will mostly sort out any errors you might have overlooked while writing.

7: Be patient and do not bump your post. People here only help you with your problem out of free will, spending their free time on you. While most people here are very willing to help you out, they also are very willing to ignore you and your problem if you come across as an impatient twat.

If your problem is solved:

8: If your problem is solved, please modify the title of your post to reflect this. Adding [SOLVED] to the title will do just fine.

9: Thank the person or people who helped you out. A word of thanks goes a long way, and creates willingness to help out in the future.

10: Make awesome Tremulous maps!

Good luck with your problems, we hope they are resolved soon, so we can play your maps.
