Hold right mouse button for a second and release. Aim upward for further and higher jumps.
I’m busy. I’ll ignore you later.

I think that when you hold the right mouse and then if you time it right with a regular jump you can jump farther/higher. Not sure on that one but the angle at which you jump makes a big difference too.

Angle makes big difference. Jump is impossible when charging the pounce.

A few tricks to know about the dragoon pounce :
- press jump anytime before touching the ground will make you jump without losing speed. Unpress jump and press it again before the next time you touch the ground to continue.
- you can charge the pounce again as soon as you jump. With a little training, you can do the same as above but you gain speed much faster
- pounce special attack doesn't block the other attack reload time like all the other special attacks do. Pounce in the face of an human and chomp him at the same time for extra brownie points
- you only need to touch an human during the pounce jump to damage him. Even if he was at the top of the jump height and you just landed gently on his head will he get the full damage. Killed someone like that once already :) On the other hand, you'll note I also team killed a few buildings like that too so watch where you jump.
urphy's rules of combat
8 ) Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at.
18 ) Make it too tough for the enemy to get in and you can't get out.

Really? That's counter-intuitive and ought to be addressed, I think.

Well, if a 500 kilo dragoon lands on your head I bet you aren't going to feel all right. :P

In that case, I propose we ought to be able to step on dretches  :P

It makes sense, specially if you're wearing the battlesuit.
