A unit i liked to see.

An alien, extremely low on hitpoints, slow moving, wallwalking, cloaked/blending when standing still, who has an slowly replenishing supply of two small poisonous darts. It can shoot these darts with gaspressure at a human, though it decloaks for a while then. And depending on the amount of armor a human has the human get's either no damage or starts dieing of poison 5 seconds later. Or it can attach a remotely detonated explosive to a human from close range or just deploy these explosive in a trap somewhere.
In other words I want a silent killer, who relies on skill and stealth to damage the enemy team.

No, it should take skill to kill with and the fire would just give away it's position. The slow moving part is because I would want to avoid backtracking(letting enemies pass while cloaked then attacking them in the back), which seems to really piss people off.

Not a bad idea, a incendary device which lits human soldiers a fire and they run around randomly screaming until the heat causes all ammo and explosives on them to explode.

I don't think there are going to be aliens that shout fier. There will be aliens that can be played stealthy though.

The idea behind the aliens is not one of offense or defense, but how you want to play them. For example there are no lumbering slow aliens meant for defense coupled with fast moving ones for offense. Each alien will be capable of any role depending on the person in control. That is the idea anyways.

We have made somethings that encourage people who want to defend to stay close. For example one of the alien structures is a poison gland that can enhance any aliens attack when used. This enhancement however only lasts a short bit, so if the alien leaves the area it's attacks turn to normal. This makes them deadly when they stay closer to the base. Hopefully soon I can get an alien structure chart up.
