Whats a good way to minimize polys?
« on: December 22, 2008, 12:59:46 am »
From reading the fourms I have found out (or at least think Ive found out) that the untainted model max poly is 1000.  I want to know if any one has any good ways when making a modles poly as effiecient as possible.  If any one has suggestions please post them.

Suggestions... Don't make your model complicated.

make your models "by hand", not with subsurf and other stuff like that, just extruding and cutting where needed =), good textures will help a lot as well. Use symetry tools to help you too.

this is coming from a newbie tho =D

Also remember that you will need to triangulate the model.
