Paint 9

Today I released 9th version of Paint - (probably) the most colorful map in Tremulous. This time whole map is different than Paint 1-8, because i "mapped" it from nothing (too many bugs in old Paints). Paint 9, like Paint 5 is made for x-mas, but now there's snow on ground and houses (due to bugs there's no "falling from sky" snow).

Changes (from Paint8):

- new "map construction",
- new first house,
- removed second house, placed entrance to underground tunnels,
- long underground tunnels,
- new, bigger (base can be built there) first house cellar,
- new "techroom",
- new healroom,
- different human base with anti-rcjump place for reactor,
- higher placed teleport destination in alien base, no more "stucks" in barricade on teleport,
- x-mas tree on middle of map,
- new default layouts,
and more...

The arena file has a typo. (Says; 'map       "paintd"', Should say; 'map       "paint9"')

Open the console ('~') in the main menu and type; '/devmap paint9'.

I haven't played 9, but this whole serious of maps is the most atrocious series of maps that I have ever had the fortune of having SO MUCH FUN IN! 

There are a lot of novelty type maps out there, but this seems to be the first one that doesn't even put on airs of being a standard tremulous map, and the gameplay works!  Like I say, I haven't played 9, but good job on the maps leading up to it.

How do you get this to play online with other people? It does the "paintd.bsp not found" thing every time i try to vote it.

the server your playing on has to have it in their base folder too

If it's your own server you shouldn't need to vote it, use admin.

I was just testing the map, seeing if you COULD vote it. There was nobody elese on the server. The point is, you can't vote it in because of the typo in paint9.bsp
