Hello, I am certain that some of you know me from N: House of Nuts. I have just joined this forum. I hope to be a successful Tremulous player, and be a well liked person (Even if I can be a little annoying at times, and don't get me mad about something...) So, I hope to be welcomed.

Anyways, welcome to the forums Spy. We believe that even though introduction topics aren't against any rules (So its ok to do them), they're really just useless and mostly they get off-topic and locked within days (Or they die out). You seem like an honest, nice and well behaved guy, so I hope I can meet you in-game someday.

Well, this is basically your topic about yourself, so I don't see what I have to lose by asking questions about yourself. Primarily, what skills do you possess? Mapping, coding, playing, etc. How long did you play Tremulous and give us a little history on yourself so we could get to know you better.

I believe I have seen you play, Hendrich. I just don't know if you saw me... I may have had a different name.
I have a strength, well no. I don't have many strengths, but I prefer to be on the alien team, and I am good at setting traps. I will wait around corners and behind doorways and wait for a human to come through.

I also consider myself a good builder.

I also like Dretch and Tyrant. (I also like the little pictures you can insert) On the human team, I am a decent shot, and I like Flamer and Pulse rifle. I HATE SHOTGUNS. I HATE THEM AND THEY HATE/HURT ME.

Very well. I will restrict myself to one nitpick.

They voice command spam is worse (and I mean alot worse) than the BF2 voice command spam. At least with BF2 voice command spam it's usually useful (ie. your commander informing your team of the whereabouts of the enemy on the map:

But anyway, TF2 rocks. So does Valve. So does the Half Life Saga. So does Portal. Simple as that.

If you like repetitive class based FPS games, then sure.

Valve does not rock; Half-Life is the most mediocre game on the market (you've played one, you've played them all. Also, the gravity gun lost its novelty after about an hour), they use the same engine for everything giving all their games a very repetitive and "I've seen it before" quality, they commercialise community made mods and take all the credit for them and Portal, despite being fun and intuitive, has no replay value.

Left 4 Dead has been the only Valve game that I have found truly enjoyable. There is nothing like rushing through zombie infested city streets and beating them to death with a propane tank.

Sounds like Ravenholm to me. Personally I think Portal/HL2 have plenty of replay value. Plus, there's EP3 coming out eventually. Right now I'm playing the currently existing episodes with nothing BUT the (super) gravity gun.

Because i feel that is i just randomly jump in, people will be confused. And the Gravity Gun (Zero-Point Energy Field Manipulator) ROCKS. I never get tired of severely screwing up the standard event line. Or throwing cans at people

. And, Tremulous is essentially a class-based game. You pick on the humans team, but on the alien team, it is entirely class-based. So if thats what you think, I'm fine with it.

Yes, but you have to work for your classes in Tremulous, unlike propper classed bassed FPSs where you can choose them from the word go.

And thats why you'll have to accept that fact you'll have to learn how to go up to the classes or get the equipment you want by playing properly, so its basically a system that helps to keep noobs from getting to the high-power stuff.
