Help Wanted - The Unvanquished Mod [Concept]

We're currently seeking mappers (and tutors) who would like to help us create a Three-team or Third Race mod for Tremulous. We mean mappers to make maps suitable for three-team play, and in the interim, to develop layouts for the existing maps, and help the modeler and the skinner to produce usable assets.

player1, on behalf of the community, I thank you. Perhaps with a reliable and well known face behind such a mod, there will be a success, and an end to the endless 'THIRD RACE PLZ' threads.

Good luck in making the would-be ATCS for 3 races. :)

BTW, I don't map but I had an idea, perhaps someone can use it. A map shaped like a three-pronged fork. The 3 default bases are at the tips of the fork and are of average quality, while at the handle there's a super cool spot for a base. The idea being that all three teams rush to secure it.

"Cool" meaning easy access to the rest of the base, easy to to defend etc.

I like it.

I also like the idea of a map with three areas radiating 120 degrees from one another, evenly separated. I think that could be done in a variety of ways: long open arcades across an exotic skymap; dungeon-like passageways with tunnels and staircases in a haunted temple; a huge circular three-way arena, with zones of semi-cover at regular intervals, etc.

I would also like to see three floors of a building (with the "middle" floor in terms of height in another wing).

The thing that really excites me is going back to some of the more-unused maps (especially some of the larger ones) to see if they would benefit from a new three-team layout, or if they would be more playable as HvU or AvU maps, instead of whatever "flaws" they allegedly had as AvH maps.
