Looks very nice, good job. I'm guessing the blue color is just used as a place holder for future editing/coloring?

Why one above the other?
Surely seeing more people is more important than having stupid amounts of space for the name?

And this is why i didnt want to post it. Because it would be raped by the members of this community.

The reason for this small list? Because "tremulous is about smaller games, typically 16 players per server"

16/2=8, and rarely do you see a server with more than 12 on it.

I see servers with more than 20 on them all the time. Usually higher.

Try to look down the list and there will be servers with no one  :(

With this HUD (Assuming he is intending on creating a HUD), I see it more as him sharing something hes making for his personal self with the rest of us, since he believes most games will have 16 people in them. Its not a bad thing, as there will be people who'll respect his template and like/use the HUD, but I have to agree with David here.

If the scoreboard can fit a normal monitor/resolution, it would make sense to open the scoreboard to allow more player slots to be seen. I honestly can say I see no benefit not to be able to see more people without having to use the scroll keys other then having a smaller scoreboard. But then again, if its not possible and/or Paradox doesn't care, we shouldn't be letting him down for that (Not that anybody has -yet).

I think that better suits Human team, maybe make an alien one. Also 'Stage'/'Kills to' should probably be slightly larger. Maybe reduce size of column headings (Name/kills/ping).

"Name" and "Kill" column are way too big. Else is fine.

But you see, thats not "pure" tremulous.

Definitely agreed with this guy. A 52 slot server is ridiculous. The game isn't designed for anywhere near that many people. The biggest server is AKKA with "32" slots, and even there only 24 (?) people can actually play, where the rest are slots for people to observe/wait for a player slot to open up.  I don't know if splitting the server is practical, since I don't know how much of the system resources a server takes, but if it is, that may well be the best idea. Personally I think the game works best at 16 players and even 24 is a bit too much, but the decision between the two is a point of minor controversy.
Didn't mean to single out lakitu, just old quotes...

And thanks for the creative criticism. In the next update, ill shrink the columns down a bit, and lower the average font size.

The "S2: 3k" part or whatever, thats the spectator team scores count.

Um, so you're saying AA, {V}, and my server aren't pure Tremulous? I get nearly as pure as is possible, the only REAL changes on my server are the extra BP (+2 for humans, +8 for aliens). I have share off. AA and {V} are default (with share on). These servers are nearly *always* full. And these are the servers I play on.

touchy! I didn't think anyone was trying to be cruel.

Tremulous was designed for no more than 16 players, so I hear. But I can only see 6 (and a half) rows per team on your diagram (that's 13 total), which is not *quite* enough by that count... also I think that having the two boards side by side makes their distinction more clear, since the human scores are clearly together, and the alien scores are clearly separate from them.

Also, I think the most important information on there (the stage counters) is pretty small by comparison to score which no-one actually cares about.
Also also, keep in mind that most players' names are mostly white when choosing your background colour.
Other than that, nice work :)

edit: wait a second, at the top you have Stage 2: 2 kills til next, and then you have those tiny little headers with S2: 2k: problem being there's one of those for aliens too. Is this meant to be as viewed by the human team or the alien team or spectator?

The smaller numbers are the spectator view, and will not show up when your playing/specing someone on a team. And yes, i will shrink down each section.

If you look at a majority of other games today, they all have vertical scoreboards.

Here is something else for your eyes to feast upon.

Everything that needs to be there is there, just very well organized.

The background is custom made by me, and will appear in more places along the hud.

Volt has already started on the main menu, with a design that will be revealed soon, and the rest is to follow.

No point, only 3 servers use a separate gamename.

quite a few servers do, many more than three. I counted twenty-five. (That's 25 different unique gamenames, there were many 'mod', 'mgdev' and 'mod/base' folders too.)

The fact that the color blue can irritate people like me, but excellent job. This can make a worthy download as it helps having everything you want on one screen with easy to read buttons/texts. My only suggestion is that would it be too hard/useless if the View Full/etc could have check boxes?

Also, will the background full of logos be shown in-game?

It's called watermarking :P so no1 steals his work.
1 more thing: I think you have to make text readable size for 640x480.
