WTF happened to my ping?

alright, im no computer genius, but i used to have around 30 ping on nearly 30 servers and gradually go up to around 50ish. Highest ping I would ever have is around 200 in euro servers, but today my ping went up to 100 on my usually 30 servers, and higher as my server list went down. I get on Trem a couple hours later my ping was 250 on those used to be 30's. couple hours later now my ping is 500 or higher on my used to be 30's. Sorry if that was a bit confusing. But I have done nothing to my computer, added no new software or anything. I had a paintball tourny today and when I got home it was like this. Never had this problem before, and my internet connection is great. So any ideas guys? thank you

ISP may be re-routing, or you may be on an oversold node. Either way, go complain.

Trojan or other Malware. Or busted router/network card.

Do you have wireless? Usually wireless connections tend to slide up and down during a day/week for no reason. Your problem seems to be similar what happens to me occasionally.

Seriously, who needs a core i7 system for web browsing???

do you share your Internet with any one else? If they are downloading large files or using torrents  or anything else to  use up  your bandwidth then that could drive your ping up.
